Thanksgiving Inspired Eye Tutorial

Happy Thanksgiving week! I decided to put together this eye look to help you stay festive during the holiday. Though it’s not inspired by turkeys, it’s definitely inspired by the warm, earthy tones that are so characteristic to this season. Since many of you will be spending the weekend with friends and family, this look will be appropriate for dressing up without being too bold.

Start by applying Urban Decay eyeshadow in “Chopper” over your entire lid. I chose to use a shimmery base because this is a party look; plus I absolutely love this color.

Then take Victoria’s Secret Baked Shadow in “Bronzinger” and apply it to the outer half of your lid,and in your crease. I was pleasantly surprised with this shadow. It’s really pigmented and shimmery, which is perfect for the look I’m trying to achieve. Because of its rich sepia tone, it does not look too bold against my skin, but still gives me a party look.

Take Urban Decay eyeshadow in “Mildew” and apply it to your tear duct. The green makes the look pop better than gold would because it contrasts with the “Chopper” and “Bronzinger”. Adding a bit of color to a natural look makes it look more festive and fun.

Finish with eyeliner and mascara and go have a blast!

I hope all of you are enjoying your short week in antipication for the long weekend!
