I will be spending this weekend down the shore with my mom for our annual weekend getaway!! Last year we unfortunately chose the worst weekend to go on vacation, and it was about 55 degrees and raining the whole time. Luckily, there’s a heat wave till Sunday, so we will hopefully experience beautiful weather…keep your fingers crossed!
Since we’ll be staying in a hotel on the beach, we have the freedom of packing as much stuff as we want. Unlike day trips to the beach where I have to shove all of my stuff in one bag and try to be as efficient as possible, I can actually pack extra for this vacation since I can just run back up if I forget something!
1. Banana Boat Sport Cool Zone SPF 50 Sun screen- When it comes to the beach, spray-on will always beat lotion. When you’re already covered in sand, you don’t want to have to spread lotion around and make a mess of yourself. It takes less time, it’s more sanitary, and you’ll actually want to reapply it when you need to.
2. Born Lippy Watermelon Lip Balm from The Body Shop- This lip balm is perfect for the beach because it moisturizes AND adds shine to your lips without feeling sticky.
3. Renpure Tropicals Australian Wind and Water Beach Spray– This spray is a MUST HAVE for beach trips. It pretty much gives your hair the perfect beachy curls it deserves. For those who are naturally curly, the spray just eliminates frizz and tightens curls, and for those with wavy or straight hair, the spray helps to achieve natural looking tousled curls. I bought it in a trio with a shampoo and conditioner, and I definitely recommend those too!
4. Sun-In Lemon Fresh Hair Lightener- Okay so for those of you who know me, you know this was my staple hair product two summers ago. It’s the perfect alternative to chemically dyeing your hair, and to be honest I thought it was fun to use. Sun-In is supposed to be sprayed onto wet hair, and it lightens your hair over time when it is exposed to heat. The beach is the perfect place to get the most out of the product, because you can spray it in your hair as soon as you get out of the water, and it’ll get a few solid hours of sunlight when you’re lying out on the sand.
As for the rest of the stuff, always remember hand sanitizer, a wide-toothed comb, a pretty swimsuit wrap, and dangly earrings! They’re all for when you get out of the ocean and want to look pretty as you lie there soaking up the sun!
I hope you all enjoy your weekend!!
