Silver Eyes!

Today I decided to play with silvers and grays. I usually use silver eye make-up whenever I go out at night, because it is a bit too much for the day. Here’s a look that works with any outfit, and isn’t too dramatic or heavy on the eyes!

You start by applying Neutrogena Nourishing Eye Duo Eyeshadow “Starry Night” (found here) in the base color over your entire lid. It’s highly pigmented, so a little goes a long way.

Then apply Sephora Collection Eyeshadow in “Starry Sky” (found here) on the outer half of your lid. Make sure you blend it into your crease, and with the rest of the silver on the inner part of your eye otherwise the light and dark will contrast too much. It is also extremely pigmented, so try to have a light hand otherwise it’ll look black!

To highlight your eyes, apply Buxom Stay-There Eyeshadow in “Pug” (found here) to your tearduct area. Take an eyeshadow applicator (I used the one in the Neutrogena palette) and apply the same eyeshadow to your lower lash line, starting from the outer corner, and tapering it off towards the middle.

Finish by lining your top lash line and lower waterline with Sephora Kohl Waterproof Eyeliner in “Keep Black”. Apply mascara; I used Clinique High Impact Mascara in black (found here).

I used a Sephora eyeshadow brush from a set I bought on Black Friday. I found a similar set here, and if you’d just like the brush, there’s a similar one here.

Remember, you may feel like it’s too bright or too bold, but take the chance! If it doesn’t feel too heavy on your eye, it’s probably the right amount of eyeshadow. Sometimes when I try new looks I think they look weird, but it’s just a matter of getting used to how your make-up looks on your face. The best part about make-up is that it comes off! If you think it’s too much, just take it off and start over!
